    Vintage Don’s Western Wear Boot Jack, Wood & Leather.. Rare collectible piece. From the Famous Don’s Western Wear Store in Houston Texas of the 1970’s & 1980’s.
    Owner Don Murphy was known for his businesses and his community work, Murphy has had several invitations to meet royalty and rub elbows with politicians. "I have met Queen Juliana, Princess Irene and Princess Beatrice from the Netherlands, King Hussein of Jordan and had dinner with President George W. Bush and his father former President George H.W. Bush. I along with other lifetime directors of the HLSR were invited to dine with the presidents because of our dedication, time, effort and scholarships for the young people," said Murphy.
    Not only has Murphy met the president, but his son and grandson have met him as well. "My grandson received a citation from the president for his work with under-privileged children," he said.
    Murphy is also good friends with celebrities. "I am personal friends with Farrah Fawcett, Ben Johnson of 'Gunsmoke,' Ken Curtis, Festus of 'Gunsmoke,' and others."
    He was also good friends with Pete Conrad, the second astronaut to land on the moon in Apollo 12. "He gave me a flag that was on the moon," Murphy said.
