    Description

    Very Old Henckel Brewery Co-Albany N.Y. wood beer keg-Barrell. Keg is in great shape for its age. May be missing a metal strap but keg is very solid. Keg MEASURES 18" HIGH BY 12" WIDE AT TOP AND BOTTOM AND ABOUT 14" AT CENTER. Fill hole is 1 3/4" round. Looks like the wooden filler plug is inside barrell. Has 3 stars burned into center of barrell. Writing is also burned in or branded. 1 End has all writing very clean and clear, while other end has much wear to the writing. Has a 1" opening for the spigot-Tap- spout. Overall looks very good. No spigot.  Henckel Brewery was built in 1857 by Frederick Henckel and today still stands--converted to apartments.
