    Description

    These sterling silver, glass lined salt and pepper shakers are 5" H and a base of 1.75". The caps are screw on. The bottom shows a makers mark of "Empire Sterling Silver 231". They are decorated with a rope design (Gadroon) around the top and on the foot of the base.
    The Empire Silver Company in Brooklyn, New York, was founded in 1946 and has gained a reputation for superior style and craftsmanship of quality.
    I have cleaned off most of the tarnish, but another light application would make them really shine.
