    Description

    McSorley's Old Ale House
in NYC, is perhaps the oldest continually opened such establishment in New York, if not the nation.
This is a 45 RPM Record written and recorded in honor of the world reknown Ale House in 1978 by a local band (
    Deaf, Dumb and Blind
) who spent many an afternoon, into evening, telling stories, bending elbows, eating cheddar with mustard and onions on the historical East 7th Street haven.
The record had some financial backing from the owner, propreitor of McSorley's, Matthew Maher, who took his half of the inventory and gave the recording out as gifts on St. Patrick's Day 1986.
This is one of the few rare remaining records.
The B side is another original song by the band, "Ali-Spinks Shuffle" which is a song detailing the Heavyweight Championship Fight September 15, 1978 when Leon Spinks won in an upset over Muhammed Ali.
Both songs made for fun and love of these American institutions.
You will need a turntable to listen to this.
