    Description

    Up for bid is a nice pair of Victorian sterling salt & pepper shakers by George W. Shiebler. The shakers are 3 1/8 inches tall by about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and together weigh 100 grams.
    The have slide-in top and a wide band of scroll decoration at the foot.
    Both shakers are monogrammed “MLS” on the sides.
    They are marked “STERLING” with the Shiebler trademark and “2472” as shown.


    Condition on the set is fairly good.
    There are a few small dents and some pale spots, but nothing too bad.
    The foot edges are slightly pushed in from use, and they may have been lightly buffed at some point.
    A good pair of shakers.
